Academics

Preparing students to meet the challenging demands they will face after graduation is something that NFA has been doing for over 150 years. Wildcats have been making their mark on the world for over a century. They have become teachers, authors, entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers, professional football players and everything in between. They get scholarships to play sports in college and they give back to their communities. They win awards for their civic service and they produce Tony Award winning plays. Most of all, they are men and women of character, driven by passion and purpose.

We believe that when course variety is provided and supplemented with diverse co-curricular opportunities, students will excel. The many course options available enable you to build an academic program that will best prepare you for whatever direction you choose to pursue upon graduation. The core curriculum provides a rich educational experience for all NFA students. Those pursuing post secondary education have the opportunity to earn college credit in a variety of ways. Students have the ability to concentrate in a number of areas including music or art. NFA offers a Fine Arts Program for those students interested in continuing their art education beyond NFA. Career focused students have the ability to study to become an EMT or nursing assistant as part of their course selection. It's your choice: your path to follow. We simply provide the opportunity for you to build your foundation.
