Food Services

Chartwells, a division of Compass Group North America, a leader in educational dining service, partners with Norwich Free Academy to provide students an affordable range of choices and nutritious dining options.

NFA participates in the National School Lunch Program.

Medical Center

School nurses are available to students in the Medical Center located in Allis House.

School Based Health Center –Child & Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut, Inc., maintains a School Based Health Center on campus for direct student access to services such as physicals, minor acute illness care, health promotion and disease prevention education, as well as group, individual and/or family therapy. The center is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Health as an Outpatient Clinic and is staffed by Certified Nurse Practitioners and Masters-prepared Mental Health Clinicians.

Student Support Services

Student Services oversees the Academy’s efforts to maximize students’ opportunities to reach their fullest academic and personal potential. The Department provides a continuum of specially designed instructional services from those delivered within the general education setting to specialty programs addressing a variety of intellectually disabling conditions. In addition, Social Workers and School Psychologists provide a broad spectrum of personal and mental health services to students.
