Project Outreach

Project Outreach (PO) is a student organization centered around volunteerism and advocacy. PO recruits and places, on average, over 500 student volunteers in the surrounding community and the NFA campus. Student volunteers are recruited and placed by Student Coordinators chosen for their leadership skill and organizational ability. Students from every grade level, economic, linguistic and ethnic background are united through Project Outreach as they work together for a common goal.
PO student volunteers participate in a variety of projects ranging from the Backus Hospital Breast Cancer Survivors Fashion Show to Reading Buddies, a program that promotes literacy in local elementary schools. PO students volunteer on campus as tour guides, peer tutors, event staff and much more.
The program is continually expanding its reach as additional students dedicate their time and energy. For more information on how to get involved, please contact Jodi Vara - Coordinator, Project Outreach.
