Director of Athletics, Eric Swallow announced this morning that Jason Bakoulis '04 has been selected to serve as NFA's new Varsity Football Coach, replacing Jemal Davis who stepped down from the position last week to pursue opportunities in educational leadership.

"Jason Bakoulis has the commitment, direction, and leadership to continue the growth and success of the NFA Football Program. The NFA Athletic Program and Community are fortunate to have such a high caliber coach of character, and integrity. I look forward to working with Coach Bakoulis in his new role as Head Football Coach at NFA," said Swallow.

Bakoulis had a successful, varied career at NFA as a member of the Wildcat squad, playing linebacker, tight end, and offensive line. A 2008 Springfield College physical education major, Bakoulis played 4 years at defensive end for the Pride. He started with the NFA Football Program in 2008. Since joining the NFA faculty in 2012 as a physical education teacher, Bakoulis has served as both Assistant Varsity Football Coach and as Defensive Coordinator for the past 4 years..

Bakoulis looks forward to "maintaining and raising the bar of NFA's football program, and bringing the team forward to an elite level."

"I am absolutely, 100%, thrilled to be the NFA's next Varsity Football Coach and to be part of NFA's legacy of athletic and football excellence," says Bakoulis.
