Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement courses allow motivated students an opportunity to earn college credit at the same time they are earning credits toward graduation at NFA.  AP classes can help you stand out in the admissions process especially if you are planning to apply at highly selective schools. After completion of an AP course, students are prepared to take the associated AP exam in the spring.

Taking Advanced Placement courses also allows you the opportunity to test the waters in a variety of subjects ranging from Art and Music to History and Mathematics. Students who take a variety of AP courses create a foundation for themselves upon entering college. You have the ability to leave NFA with a clear picture of what courses you want to take in college. The course work is extremely challenging but aimed to prepare you for college.

For more information on specific classes, please visit our full list of AP Course Offerings.
