New teachers in the English Depatment include Brian Ewing, Tori Zinno, and Thomas Teixeira. The Mathematics Department welcomes Kevin Agnello, and Sarah McGuire, and the Science Department welcomes Ryan Czaja and Aidan Weeks.

NFA has become an active site for teacher training. Each year new faculty, interns, and student teachers receive hands on, practical, field experience in education. Director of Curriculum and Instruction Denise Grant and New Teacher Coach Henry Laudone have put together a teacher induction program that is a model in the field.

"Your actions are pebbles thrown into a pool, creating waves of ripples far into the future," said graduation speaker, Elina Vandenberg. "Today, by completing what you have started," she said, "you have thrown forth a pebble, and who know where it will take you and whom it will affect?" Vandenberg was the graduation speaker July 31, at NFA's summer graduation exercises.

18 holes of golf, a tournament gift, lunch, a putting contest, conventional and "50/ 50" raffles, and winners' prizes in gross and net divisions.

Senior Stephanie Lefebvre won the St. Anthony Chapel (A Capela do Santo Antonio) Scholarship. The scholarship's mission is to perpetuate the understanding of the Cape Verdean Culture as it relates to the Eastern CT Community.
