An important update - December 22, 2020
I am writing to inform you of two positive COVID-19 cases in the Norwich Free Academy community.
In one case, a student was last on campus Tuesday, December 15, and in the other case, a staff member was last on campus Wednesday, December 16. Both are currently quarantining at home under guidance from the Uncas Health District and our Medical Center. We have determined any close contacts, and all additional and appropriate actions as advised by the health district and our medical center are being followed.
As we enter into holiday break tomorrow, I am grateful for your patience and cooperation during this
time, and I encourage you and your family to continue to follow all necessary guidelines in order to
mitigate the potential spread in our community. Remain vigilant in wearing a mask, keep your social
distance and self-monitor for symptoms.
And, as a reminder, while our classes will start remotely on January 4, we will return to our hybrid model on Monday, January 11. Until then, best wishes for a healthy holiday season.
