AP & Dual Enrollment

Please use the tabs below to find information you will need to register for your college credits and to sign up for your AP Tests. The name of your course states if it is an AP class and/or available for credit at ECSU or UConn.

Registration is a multistep process: be sure you and your parent/guardian are checking your email often so you don’t miss a step! Also, the deadlines below are firm due dates, with no exceptions made.

If you have any questions, your teacher is the best person to assist you. If you still need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to Ms. Jones (joness@nfaschool.org or stop by her office on the top floor of Shattuck).

Please note: in order to be eligible for any fee waivers, you must be eligible for free or reduced lunch . Eligibility is determined annually by applying for the Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program, found here.

Registration Information

ECSU

PLEASE NOTE: For the 2025-26 school year, all fees for ECSU Dual Enrollment courses are waived. This does NOT apply to AP test registration or UConn fees for associated courses.

Registration Window: August 20-September 5, 2025

Late Registration: NO LATE REGISTRATIONS accepted by ECSU

UCONN

Registration Window: September 16-October 16, 2025

Late Registration: NO LATE REGISTRATIONS accepted by UConn

Fees:

$50 per credit
- Students eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch will receive a fee waiver. Students who are active participants in ConnCAP will have their fees waived regardless of Free and Reduced Price Lunch status.

Directions: You will use this UConn ECE Registration Link. UConn will verify your FRL status with us before applying fee waivers.

Note: UConn US History, Economics, Chinese, French and Chemistry are all available for more than one UConnECE course. For each of these classes, you will need to register for two UConn courses. Your teacher will explain this in class.

AP Testing

Registration Window: September 8 -October 31, 2025

Late Registration: November 16, 2025 - February 28, 2026. Contact Mrs. Jakan at jakanh@nfaschool.org or stop by room 2204.

Fees:

$100 per test (=$40 late fee if registering after October 31st)
- Students eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch must email Mrs. Jakan for a fee waiver.

Directions: Your teacher will give you a Join Code for their class in AP Classroom. Once you join the class and indicate that you plan on taking the AP Test, you will use this AP Exam Registration Link to pay.

Note: If you are having an issue logging into your College Board account, please contact them. We cannot do this on your behalf. Please do NOT create a new account. If you do not have an account and need to create one, use a personal email address and password.
