2017-18 Season Outlook

The NFA Boys’ track and field team pairs experienced athletes in the field events with relative newcomers on the track. Three returning jumpers (Spruill, Sholes, Alcius) have experience competing at the state level. Pole-vaulter Chris Weir, who broke NFA’s indoor pole-vault record this winter, returns to defend his conference title. DaVeiga and Hebert will seek to improve upon their strong winter seasons. Young distance runners Nathan Cote, Digby Ludlow, and Reno Sebastian will compete at the conference level for the first time. Sophomore Cruz Quintana, who helped graduating seniors Johnson, Darby, and Gates capture an ECC title in 4x100m relay last season, is poised to break-out in the individual sprinting events. - Coach Teixeira
