Coaches
Anthony Turgeon, Head Coach
Anthony Turgeon, who teaches physical education and health at NFA, became the varsity coach in 2021, having served as an assistant since 2014. A 2009 graduate of Fitch High School, Turgeon, who was an All-State selection his senior year, went on to play baseball at Central Connecticut State University. His team played in the 2010 NCAA College World Series Regional. Turgeon also played two seasons for the Mystic Schooners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Reuben Shirshac , Varsity Assistant Coach
This is Reuben Shirshac’s second season as the varsity assistant coach at NFA following eight years as the freshman coach. He’s also a physical education and health teacher at NFA, where he started in 2014. Shirshac graduated from Windham Technical High School in 2008, where he played four years of varsity baseball.
Mike Aldridge , Junior Varsity Head Coach
Mike Aldridge enters his second season as a member of the Wildcats coaching staff and heading up the JV team. Aldridge played four years of baseball at East Lyme High School. After graduation, he went on to pitch for one year at Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and then for three years at Sacred Heart University. Aldridge is also a member of the NFA Campus Safety Department.
Andrew St. Jean, Freshman Head Coach
This is Andrew St. Jean’s second season on the NFA staff. He’s the head freshman coach. He also coaches freshman football. St. Jean played baseball at Woodstock Academy from 2007-2010. He’s also a math teacher at NFA.
