Digby Ludlow boys’ track and field coach at NFA
Digby Ludlow has been named the new boys’ track and field coach at Norwich Free Academy.

“Digby enjoyed success while here as a student, and I have no doubt he’ll achieve the same success as a coach,” Athletic Director Chris Guisti said. “He knows what it means to be an athlete at NFA. He knows the standard we set, and I’m grateful for his desire to give back to our current students. I know he has the capability to succeed and continue to leave a mark on our program.”

Ludlow, who graduated in 2020, competed on both the NFA cross country and track and field teams. Last season, he was the head track and field coach for Preston Plains Middle School, which field a team of more than 40 athletes. He also served as an assistant for two years before taking the head position. He has also served as the assistant summer camp director for Preston Park and Recreation.

“Having an opportunity to guide, lead and mentor young student-athletes at my alma mater would be the most fulfilling accomplishment of my young coaching career,” said Ludlow, who is also pursuing his teaching certification in physical eduation at Eastern Connecticut State University. “I had an amazing experience participating in NFA athletics and am honored to give back to the program that gave so much to me.”
Ludlow replaces Tom Teixeira who stepped down after last season.
