Wadecki named girls’ track and field coach
Jeff Wadecki, NFA girls track and field coach

Jeff Wadecki has been named the new girls’ track and field coach at Norwich Free Academy.

“Jeff is a familiar face on campus and well-known by our student-athletes,” said Athletic Director Roy Wentworth. “I know he is ready for this, and I’m excited for him to have this opportunity to lead our program.”

Wadecki, who started coaching at NFA in 2018, is an assistant coach for the boys’ cross-country team, and he works with both indoor track teams, too. He has also previously worked with both outdoor track programs.

“This team has many returning scorers and should be in the mix to have a competitive season at the conference and state level,” said Wadecki. “I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to working with the student-athletes.”

Wadecki, who is a Ledyard High School graduate, replaces Andrea Chappelle-Pinnock.
