Don’t Miss Out! Free & Reduced-Price Meals Application is Open

Norwich Free Academy (NFA) students must pay for school meals unless they qualify for free or reduced-price meals based on household income. All families are encouraged to complete the online school meals application as soon as possible to determine eligibility. This application must be submitted annually.

Please note the following based on your situation last year.

If your student received free or reduced meals last year:

If your student previously received free or reduced-price meals (either at NFA or another school that notified NFA), you have 30 school days to submit a new application to determine continued eligibility status. Without a new application, meal charges for your student will begin October 10, 2025.

If your student attended Norwich Public Schools last year:

All students who attended Norwich Public Schools received free meals under the Community Eligibility Provision. Because NFA is not eligible to participate in that program, all Norwich families must now apply for free or reduced-price meals. However, NFA will provide 30 days of free meals for these students to allow time for families to submit the required application. Without a new application, meal charges begin October 10, 2025.

Apply now!

Even if your child did not previously receive free or reduced-price meals, you are still encouraged to complete the application to see if they qualify.
