Please read this important information about school meals.

 

 

Norwich Free Academy is not eligible to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision, which allows students to receive school meals free of charge. Therefore, in order for your student(s) to be eligible for free or reduced-price meals, you must complete and submit a Free and Reduced-price Meal Application for approval. We are still awaiting the final application but wanted to alert you to this information. Once the application is ready, it will be on our website if you’d like to print it, fill it out and return it. We will notify you when the form is active.

 

Copies will also be provided to your student on the first day of school. And, for incoming freshmen families, we’ll have it available when you have the option to come on campus in August prior to the first day (more details on that to come!). The form will be due no later than September 12.

 

Students are entitled to continue receiving free meals for the first portion of our school year. Free eligibility expires October 11, 2022. Once we have received and processed your application, we will notify you of your student’s meal eligibility. If we do not receive an application, your child/children will be required to pay full price for breakfast and lunch beginning October 12. The cost of breakfast is $2, and the cost of lunch is $3-$3.50.
