Art Preview Camp - Grades 6-8
Throughout the one-week session, students in grades 6-8 (incoming 9th-grade students as well) will explore a variety of mediums, ranging from Metal & Jewelry, Clay/Sculpture, Digital Photography, Graphic Design, and Drawing/Painting.
Students will be working on projects each morning, break for lunch, and then continue working on projects! During camp, students will be following all safety protocols.
This is a great opportunity for students who love art and would like to experience what NFA has to offer! All classes are taught by NFA teachers.
SMCA Art Camp - Grades 3-5
FEE: $250 per week

Summer Band at NFA - Grades 5-9
Spend a week with the NFA Music Department, making music, having fun, and preparing for an end of the week concert! Show your wild side with daily spirit days, get to know current NFA Band students (band-aids), and work with band directors from our surrounding middle school programs!
This one week day camp is open to any students from any town who have at least 1 year of experience on a band instrument (Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone/Euphonium, Tuba, Piano (will play mallet percussion), Percussion.
Students must supply their own woodwind or brass instruments, however percussion equipment will be provided! Included in the camp tuition: A Summer Band at NFA T-Shirt, All spirit days & supplies, a pizza party on concert day for all campers!
Bring: Instrument, Sneakers, Water, Snack
Conditioning for Student - Athletes - Grades 9-12
ALL current and incoming student-athletes must complete the student-athlete participation registration through FamilyID, and have an updated physical on file with the school nurse prior to participating.

Middle School Dance Camp - Grades 6-8
Advanced registration for the Middle School Dance Camp is strongly recommended to secure a student’s place in class. Enrollment is limited and accepted on a first-paid basis. Registrations will not be processed without payment. Please complete the enclosed registration and medical form. All students are required to have both forms on file.

Open Gym Basketball - grades 7-12
In collaboration with the Norwich Recreation Department. A co-ed open gym clinic to provide a positive and supportive environment where kids can learn the game of basketball.

Youth Lacrosse Clinic - grades 2-8
Provide each athlete an opportunity to learn and strengthen their basic skills and concepts with the game of lacrosse. Open to girls and boys (coached by NFA coaches with separate drills).
To bring for girls: Stick, mouthguard, goggles, water bottle, sneakers or cleats
To bring for boys: Stick, mouthguard, water bottle, sneakers or cleats, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves
Volleyball Camp - Grades 5-9
In collaboration with the Norwich Recreation Department. A co-ed camp to provide a positive and supportive environment where kids can learn the game of volleyball. Instruction led by NFA Head Volleyball Coach, Raleighe Orszulak-Borecki.

Wildcat Hoop School - Grades 2-9
Instruction by NFA Boys & Girls coaches and players with a focus on basketball skills development and fun! All kids will receive a FREE t-shirt with their registration.

CT Sun Basketball Camp - Grades 3-8
Don't miss out on the Connecticut Sun's Summer Basketball Camp! At Sun camps you will learn from some of the best basketball coaches in the state and learn new concepts and skills to take your game to the next level. The camps will focus on all aspects of basketball including skill development, teamwork, and character building. Opportunity to see CT Sun staff members and Blaze throughout the week!

Field Hockey Clinic - grades 2-8
In collaboration with college Head Field Hockey Coach, Christine Hutchison, our clinic will provide opportunities for students to learn and strengthen their basic skills and concepts with the exciting game of field hockey. This is open to all athletes from second grade all the way up to eighth grade. This five week clinic will teach students the fundamentals and mechanics of field hockey with a concentration on basic stick skills and small-sided games to increase their game IQ.
AGE: Children in grades 2 - 8

Girls Soccer - Grades 9-12
The NFA girls soccer team joins a summer soccer league to keep in shape for the upcoming season. To join the team you must be an incoming NFA freshman or current student at NFA.
AGE: Students in grades 9 - 12
FEE: $65
DATES: Last week of June through the second week of August.
You'll need to choose the appropriate age group (scroll to bottom of registration page, under "NFA Summer Registration") when registering, and create a Norwich Youth Soccer account to complete the process.

COVID-19 Protocols
HEALTH SCREENING
Summer at NFA staff and children attending our camps, clinics, and/or programming are required to self-screen daily for any observable illness, including cough or respiratory distress, exposure to a positive case, and to confirm temperature below 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
If your child is sick, please do not send them to NFA. Children who arrive at a Summer at NFA program without symptoms, but develop them during the day will be sent home; a COVID-19 test is encouraged to return. Parents will be notified and the sick child will be separated from the rest of the students and sent to a designated sick room until their parent or guardian can pick them up.
Prompt confidential notification of a positive test result is requested.
