On-campus Photo Days
We know the importance of being on the Norwich Free Academy campus, and that is why we are
pleased to provide you with an opportunity to return to campus for a photo in your cap and
gown and with your diploma.

These photos will be available on the following days:
  • Sunday, June 14, 11 am to 7 pm
  • Monday, June 15, 2 to 7 pm
  • Tuesday, June 16, 2 to 7 pm
  • Wednesday, June 17, 11 am to 7 pm
  • Thursday, June 18, RAIN DATE.
To schedule an appointment, click here. This is the only way to schedule an appointment.

We greatly appreciate your patience as we make this event as safe and as efficient as possible. In order to maintain safety and efficiency, we need your cooperation. Here’s what you need to know:

How many people are allowed?
Each student may be accompanied by up to four people for a total group not to exceed five.

What time should we arrive on campus?
Please arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time. If you schedule a time for 3 pm, for example, please arrive on campus at 2:50 pm. If you arrive earlier, you will be asked to remain in one area before proceeding. If you are late for your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you as soon as possible.

Where do we go when we arrive?
Please park in either the Bradlaw lot (East gate) off of Joseph Perkins Road or the senior lot off of Reynolds Road. Parking will not be available anywhere else on campus. When you arrive, a Campus Safety Officer will guide you to the next step in the process.

How will it all work?
Our Campus Safety team will direct you to a check in location. At that point, you’ll receive your diploma and other materials such as a commencement program and any awards you may have won. (Note: if you've won a scholarship, you will be directed to an additional area to receive that.)

More importantly, you’ll also be assigned an escort at this time. Your escort will guide you through the photo process. The first photo taken will be of the graduate alone. After that picture is done, the escort will lead your party to the next location, where a photo will be taken of the graduate and up to four others in the party.

Following that photo, your escort will then lead you back to the parking area.

When will I get the photos? Are they free?
Within two weeks (if not sooner), each student will receive an email directing them where to find their photos, which will be complimentary.

Can anyone else take photos?
While our photographers will take the official photos, one member of the party is welcome to take additional photos at each location. Our photographers will only be taking images with their camera.

What about masks?
Masks are required for all in your party. Masks may only be removed during the photo opportunity. Masks must be put back on after photos.

I know it won’t, but what if it does rain?
We will make any necessary decisions two hours prior to our start time each day. Information will be posted on the school Twitter account and Facebook page.

I have books and other materials to return. Where do I bring those?
Please bring any school property with you, including books, technology or anything you’ve borrowed from a teacher. We ask that you fill out this inventory sheet and bring it with you.

What if don’t want photos, but just want to pick up my diploma?
For those students only interested in receiving your diploma, they can be picked up Thursday, June 18, or Friday, June 19, between 9 am and 2 pm at the office of student affairs in the Tirrell Building.

What if I can’t make any of these days for photos or diploma pick up?If you can’t get your diploma during this time, an alternative date can be arranged by contacting the office of student affairs at 860-425-5511. Additional photo days, however, will not be scheduled.
