Project Outreach (PO) is a student organization based upon volunteerism and advocacy. PO recruits and places annually, on average, over 500 student volunteers in the surrounding community and the NFA campus. Student Coordinators, chosen for their leadership skill and organizational ability, work together to recruit and place student volunteers.
Project Outreach unites students from every grade level, economic, linguistic and ethnic background as they work together for a common goal.
PO student volunteers participate in a variety of projects ranging from the Backus Hospital Breast Cancer Survivors Fashion Show to Reading Buddies, a program promoting literacy in local elementary schools. PO students volunteer on campus as tour guides, peer tutors, event staff and much more.
The program is continually expanding its reach as additional students dedicate their time and energy. For more information about becoming involved, contact Project Outreach Coordinator, Jodi Savage at 860-425-5643.
