Senior Information
Senior information has been posted to your MyNFA>Student Portal Dashboard. This information will be updated frequently moving forward through the end of the year.
Class, Bell, Senior Exam Schedule, June 11-15
The daily bell and class schedule will be adjusted, June 11-15 to accommodate senior exams. There will be a Monday-Wednesday-Friday Bell Schedule all week with a Zero-Early Release Day on Friday. Find the entire schedule posted in the drop-down box “Class, Bell, Senior Exam Schedule, June 11-15” on your MyNFA>Student Portal Dashboard.
Final Exams
All you need to know about final exams is posted in the drop-down box “Final Exams - Schedule & Info” on your MyNFA>Student Portal Dashboard.
Attendance Appeals
As the end of the year approaches, review the information about Attendance Appeals posted on your MyNFA>Student Portal Dashboard, and note the deadlines for seniors and underclassmen. If you have questions, talk with your Attendance secretary, House Principal, or School Counselor.
Cat Shack End of Year Hours
The Cat Shack is closing soon! The Cat Shack will be open:
Thu., Jun 7 through Thu., Jun. 14 during ALL lunch waves
Special Hours: Thu., Jun. 14, 3-5 p.m. and Sat., Jun. 16, 11:30 - 1:00 p.m.
Please Note: Inventory will be taken beginning Mon., Jun. 18. No additional sales will be made at that time. Please contact Mrs. Farinha at FarinhaL@nfaschool.org with any questions.
Summer Reading
Access the summer reading requirement and list on your MyNFA>Student Portal Dashboard. Click on “2018 Summer Reading.” Your summer reading is based upon your 2018-19 English class. If you have questions, talk to your English teacher. Extra credit will also be available to students who read extra books, as well as prizes.
ECSU Classes
Students taking an ECSU class next year should pick up a form in the House Office or your Counselor’s Office or your House or Counselor's Office. Check your email for details.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Project Outreach is looking for volunteers for various summer programs. If you are interested in volunteering this summer please see Mrs. Savage in room 7101 for more information. Some of the programs are limited so stop by early.
- The Norwich Rose Arts Festival is looking for volunteers for many events taking place on the Chelsea Parade in front of NFA Sat., Jun. 30. If you are interested in volunteering for the festival please stop by and see Mrs Savage for a volunteer application.
- Volunteers are needed to help with the Norwich Rec Department's Splash and Dash Event on Sat., Jun., 16 at Mohegan Park from 7 a.m. until about 11. Contact Mrs. Savage know before Jun. 11 to volunteer. You will be working along the running course helping to direct kids to the proper locations along with course, giving out water, etc.
Meals on Campus
The free dinner program at NFA students has ended for the school year.
A free Grab-and-Go Snack is available will continue to be available to all NFA Students from 2:10-2:30 p.m. each day in the cafeteria through June 21.
Free Summer Meals 4 Kids
Sponsored by Norwich Public Schools for students 18 years old and younger. You do not have to be a Norwich resident. All meals must be eaten on site, no meals served in the last 5 minutes of the program, and no carry-out. Meal sites and more information here.
UK & Ireland Trip: Any students interested in traveling to the UK & Ireland in summer 2019 with People to People should see Ms. Serra in room 8105 for more information.
Galapagos Island Trip: Anyone interested in traveling to the Galapagos Islands in June 2019 should see Mrs. Seng in Shattuck or email sengm@nfaschool.org.
