Holiday Book Drive The NFA Library is hosting our annual Holiday Children's Book Drive starting Monday, December 2 through Monday, December 16. Books for children of all ages (Birth through age 18) are needed for the recipients of the Norwich local food pantry, who cannot afford holiday gifts to give their own children. Please give a new book to help a child. Donation Book Boxes will be in each of the House Offices, and in the Library. Norwich Late Bus Norwich students who wish to use after-school late bus service on Mon, Tues & Thurs. must have a red, signed permission slip from the Student Affairs Office to board the bus. Without a signed permission slip, you will not be allowed to board the bus. Please sign-up in the Student Affairs office each day you wish to take the late bus. If you have questions, see Ms. Howe. Preston Late Bus Preston students who wish to use the after-school late bus must sign up for the bus in the morning in the Student Affairs Office in Tirrell. If you do not sign up, you will not be allowed to ride the bus. UCFS Smiles on the Move Program The UCFS program - Smiles On the Move - will be at NFA January 7-10 for dental cleanings during the school day. Registration forms are at the NFA Medical Center. Seniors interested in applying to the University of New Haven have a chance to reduce the entire admissions process to one day. New London Scholars Program The New London Scholars Program at Connecticut Colleges allows 2 seniors to take a class in the Spring semester at Connecticut College for free. Students are responsible for the cost of the books and transportation. If you are interested in more information, please see your counselor or Mrs. Elliott. Certified EMT Course American Professional Educational Services offers a State-Accredited EMT Program. Any student interested in joining the evening program at American Professional to become certified as an EMT would need to be 16 by the time the course ends. The cost for the class is $1,295, and requires a $200 deposit; payment plans available. Deadline to register is Jan. 2, 2020. For more information, click here.
