MLK Freedom March Students interested in celebrating Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy are invited to join the FREEDOM MARCH, Monday, January 20, at 1:15 pm. The event kicks off in front of Norwich City Hall (David Ruggles Freedom Courtyard). The March will proceed to Evans Memorial AME Zion Church at 2 McKinley Avenue. At 2 pm, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration Program will be held and a celebratory reflection will be delivered. Spirit Day Thursday, January 23 -- NFA Day -- let’s have a fresh start to semester two! Sponsored by your Student Advisory Board. NFA Poet Laureate Contest The 2020 Poet Laureate Contest has begun! Submit your three best poems in a single Google Doc with your first and last name as the title of the document to Ms. Roberts (robertsk@nfaschool.org) or Ms. Cholewa (cholewaa@nfaschool.org) by the deadline of February 12, 2020. The winner will have the honor of being NFA's Poet Laureate for an entire year, receive 100 dollars, be required to attend a Master Class in poetry at the Mystic Museum of Art and also be required to perform his or her poetry at the Mystic Museum of Art for a live audience on Friday March 20, at 7 pm. Don't miss this opportunity to get the acclaim you deserve! Cat Shack is Hiring! If you have a study hall during B, C, E, F or G channel during semester two, you can work in the Cat Shack. Wildcat Loft Volunteers Needed! The Wildcat LOFT is looking for student volunteers to work in the LOFT during their 2nd semester study hall.
