Annual Black College Tour
April 14-19 (Spring Break). Open to all students - accepting applications until filled.

Careers in the United States Marine Corps Presentation

A presentation on potential careers in the United States Marine Corps will take place, today, Tue., Dec. 4 during B Channel in the Career Resource Center, 1102. Army National Guard Educational Benefits Presentation

FREE Fishing Trip
Join the Fishing Club on a FREE fishing trip to Mohegan Park, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Fri., Dec. 14. Transportation will be provided to and from NFA. See Mr. Johnson in Slater room 5011 for permission slip.

Book Drive Through Fri., Dec. 14
The Library is collecting new or almost new books that children (ages 0-18) could receive as presents this holiday season. Drop off books at the Edwin H. Land Library or in any house office.

Spring Musical Auditions
Auditions for "Urinetown" are 2:30-4:30 p.m., Tue., Dec. 18 in the choir room (8260). Students may leave following their audition. Call backs are 2:30-4:30 p.m., Wed., Dec. 19. Students must stay for the duration of call backs.

Contact Mr. Trostler at trostlerp@nfaschool.org for audition materials. Many roles are available for males and females, actors, singers, and dancers.

Graduation Information
Attention Seniors: In early 2019, we will be placing the order for your cap and gown. At that time you will also confirm the spelling of your legal name for your diploma. Participation in the June graduation ceremony requires the wearing of the traditional cap, gown, and tassel.

The cost of your graduation cap and gown has been added to your Power School account in the amount of $29. Payment must be made by April 30, 2019. You may bring payment to Ms. Martin in the Bradlaw Office at any time before April 30. Payment may be made by cash, money order, or check payable to NFA. Those students on free or reduced lunch may see their guidance counselors for financial assistance.

2019 New England Red Sox Service Scholarship Program
$1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior based on 1. Demonstrated For those pursuing a two or four-year degree at any college, or university in the fall of 2019.

Late buses are now available for Norwich and Preston. Sign up in Student Affairs before 1 p.m. to take the bus.

Lost and Found
Lost items found on campus are sent to Project Outreach - Room 7101 (except electronics). Electronic items are sent to Campus Safety. Check with PO more than once if you have lost something. Label your belongings - labeled items are easy to return.

Wildcat LOFT Seeking Volunteers
Wildcat LOFT is a clothing/food pantry open to all students. Volunteers organize, record, and help other students looking for items. Apply with Mrs. Kutia in the Diversity Office, Converse 6115, or email at kutias@nfaschool.org.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Project Outreach Runners - deliver passes, conduct school tours, help with projects, and more. If you have a study hall and would like to be a PO runner, see Mrs. Savage in Room 7101 Tirrell or email savagej@nfaschool.org.

NEW - NFA's yearbook will arrive in the SPRING. In early June, seniors' books will be distributed. Following senior distribution, underclassmen will receive their books. Only a very limited number of extra books will be available so order today!

FREE After School Snack and Dinner
A free Grab-and-Go Snack is available to all NFA Students from 2:10-2:30 p.m. each day in the cafeteria.

Free dinner is available from 4 - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the back cafeteria for all NFA students age 18 and younger. The dinner complies with Connecticut State meal requirements. Students sign in to participate and eat dinner in the cafeteria. No grab-and-go or takeout.
