Homecoming 2021 -- A New Beginning
NFA is proud to offer students a homecoming celebration during this challenging time. Here are the important details:
Homecoming is Saturday, October 16, and features a home football game at 1 pm vs. Waterford.
With COVID restrictions, we will not be hosting a traditional, inside homecoming dance.
Instead, we will be offering an outdoor Homecoming Student Celebration on Saturday, October 16, from 6 to 8:30 pm on the Turf Field.
The event will feature a DJ and other outdoor activities such as volleyball, cornhole, a photo opp and more things still in the works!
This event will follow all current COVID guidelines and, therefore, masks are not required while students are outside. Masks will be required for any indoor bathroom use.
Dress appropriately for the weather. Clothing must follow the school dress code. Please wear comfortable footwear. HEELS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED on the track or field.
Outside guests (non-NFA students) will not be allowed to attend.
Tickets are limited and will be sold until gone. There will not be a waiting list. Tickets are non-transferable. You cannot sell or give your ticket to someone else.
There is no rain date for this event. In the event of inclement weather, NFA reserves the right to cancel the event, and refunds will be provided. Refunds will not be provided if the dance is held and a student does not attend.
Tickets are $10 and will be sold in the Tirrell Lobby before school and during all lunch waves beginning September 27
You must have your school ID to purchase your ticket. Students are allowed to purchase one ticket for a friend. However, in order to do so, the purchaser must have the name and the ID number of the second ticket holder. You will need both your ID and ticket for entry into the event.
Homecoming Royalty
Another change this year is the process for naming our 2021 Homecoming Royalty. All students will have the opportunity to nominate and vote for members of their class to be part of the Homecoming Court and run for Homecoming Royalty.
During the week of September 27, students will nominate their classmates via a form on the student portal. Each student is asked to nominate two members from their class for Homecoming.
The top three students nominated in each class will be named to the Homecoming Court.
During Spirit Week, each student will receive a ballot and be asked to vote for one of the nominees from their class only.
The student from each class that receives the most votes will be named this year’s Homecoming Royalty.
Winners will be announced during halftime of the football game October 16.
