Sunday Night Reminder - November 21, 2021
Important schedule update: 
As noted earlier this week in an email from Dr. Kelly, the NFA Thanksgiving recess will now begin Wednesday, November 24. Regular classes will be held Monday, November 22, and Tuesday, November 23. Classes will then resume Monday, November 29. 
Powder Puff is back!
Returning to the field this year, like other sports, is PowderPuff 2021. On Tuesday, November 23, at 6:15 pm, girls from the Class of 2022 will take on girls from the Class of 2023 in a game of flag football on the Turf Field. Come out and support this NFA Thanksgiving week tradition. 
Seniors -- important info about Tuesday 
Our annual What's Next for Me? event will take place Tuesday, November 23. All seniors should report to the Alumni Gym at 10 am on Tuesday. Please remember to bring your Chromebooks and to check your email on Monday afternoon for more information about the day.
Tuesday closures in Slater and Library
To accommodate our What’s Next for Me? Program, all of Slater (including A and B) and the Library will be closed to students during F channel (10:36 am to 12:06 pm). Those spaces will be utilized for seniors taking part in the event and will not be available to other students during that time. 
Tickets to ‘The Game’!
NFA travels to New London on Thanksgiving to continue the oldest high school football rivalry in the country! Gametime is 10 am. Stop by the Athletics Office in Norton from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday or Tuesday to pick up tickets in advance. Get them ahead of time and don’t wait in line Thursday morning. All tickets are $5 (students, adults, seniors). 
A reminder about masks
Please remember that masks continue to be required at school. As a reminder, there are certain face coverings that are not an option and should not be worn to school. These include ski masks, gaiters and any mask with an exhalation valve. Thank you for your continued support!
Senior portraits!
Hey, Class of 2022. New dates have just been released for senior portraits. Now there are dates available in October, November and December. Get your appointment set today. Book Club meeting update
The next Book Club meeting has been changed to Monday, November 29. All students interested are welcome to join us in the Library Latham Lab, room 1201, at the back of the Library at 2:30 pm.
2021 Yearbooks are in!
Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 who ordered a yearbook last year: if you have not yet received it, please stop by room 7223 during A, B, D, G or H channels to pick up your book. Many books have been delivered, but if you have not received yours yet, and you ordered one, this is the way to get it!

College Visits
NFA will be hosting colleges for visits this fall both in person and virtually! During these visits, college representatives will meet with interested students in small groups to discuss topics such as the academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures of their college. Both in-person and virtual visits will take place in the Anne Macaione Mitchell '44 College and Career Center (Latham 1221). 
To Register through Naviance:
1. Log on to Naviance.
2. Select the College tab.
3. Locate the 'Research Colleges' column and select the 'College Visits' link.
5. A new page will load with the complete list: scroll down the list and select the college or university of your choice.
6. Click 'Register Now' on the right of the college or university name.
