Spelling Bee winners!
Congratulations to the following winners of the 39th annual Lillian S. Young Spelling Bee held this past week: Elya Anor (grade 9), Lily Yi (grade 10), David Dozier (grade 11), and Jamal Joinvil (grade 12). Each winner will receive at least $1,250 from the NFA Foundation. Thank you to all who participated in this NFA tradition. We hope to see you again next year for the 40th annual competition! 
Holiday book drive
The Library and NFA Book Club are again jointly sponsoring the Holiday Children's and Teen Book Drive! Please purchase and donate only NEW books for any child or teen, age birth - 18 years old. This book drive will benefit Norwich area children whose parents can not afford to give a book as a gift. We are asking for only NEW books, since they will be given as gifts. You can drop off your books at the Library from Monday, 11/29 through Monday, 12/13.
Cat Shack holiday hours

If you are looking for a great NFA gift or stocking stuffer, the Cat Shack, our campus store, has announced it’s holiday shopping hours. Stop by December 2, from 3 to 8 pm; December 11, from 9 am to noon; or December 16 from 6 to 8:30 pm. Check out our online store catalog before you arrive to see our latest inventory!

A reminder about masks
Please remember that masks continue to be required at school. As a reminder, there are certain face coverings that are not an option and should not be worn to school. Those include ski masks, gaiters and any mask with an exhalation valve. Thank you for your continued support!

Hey, Class of 2022. New dates have just been released for senior portraits. Now there are dates available in October, November and December. Get your appointment set today. Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 who ordered a yearbook last year: if you have not yet received it, please stop by room 7223 during A, B, D, G or H channels to pick up your book. Many books have been delivered, but if you have not received yours yet, and you ordered one, this is the way to get it!

College Visits
NFA will be hosting colleges for visits this fall both in person and virtually! During these visits, college representatives will meet with interested students in small groups to discuss topics such as the academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures of their college. Both in-person and virtual visits will take place in the Anne Macaione Mitchell '44 College and Career Center (Latham 1221). 
To Register through Naviance:
1. Log on to Naviance.
2. Select the College tab.
3. Locate the 'Research Colleges' column and select the 'College Visits' link.
5. A new page will load with the complete list: scroll down the list and select the college or university of your choice.
6. Click 'Register Now' on the right of the college or university name.
