Graduation Rehearsal (mandatory)
Wednesday, June 15
Following the Senior Brunch, students will participate in a mandatory rehearsal on campus. Students will be assigned to a specific room in the Bradlaw Building prior to the start of rehearsal. Room assignments will be emailed to students June 14.
All students need to be in their assigned rooms at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 15.
While in those rooms, students will receive initial information about the ceremony before rehearsal takes place on the field. In addition, students will receive their cap and gowns and event tickets.
*Graduation Exercises of the Class of 2022
Thursday, June 16
As previously announced, the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2022 will be held on the Turf Field at NFA. The ceremony begins promptly at 4 pm.
Each student will receive four tickets for the event that provide access to bleacher seating. Others may attend, but they will not be provided seating. (Read ‘What if it rains?’ to learn more about seating in that scenario.)
Students should be on campus no later than 3 pm. Upon arrival, they will go to the Bradlaw Building and be assigned to a line-up room. Unlike rehearsal, these assignments will not be made in advance.
Students will not be lined up (or called to the stage) in alphabetical order. They will be allowed to be with their friends for the ceremony. However, to ensure that, students wanting to walk together must arrive at the Bradlaw Building at the same time. Once they receive a room ticket, they will not be able to switch.
What if it rains?
First off, it won’t. But, just in case, here’s the plan:
Graduation will still occur Thursday, June 16. A decision to move to our foul weather plan will be made 24 hours in advance – therefore, at 4 pm on Wednesday, June 15. If this decision is made, it will be put out on NFA social media and the school website. A robo-call will also be made to all seniors.
Should we be forced to change the course of events, here’s what you need to know:
1. The ceremony will be held in Alumni Gym.
2. Each student will be permitted two guests (using the two red tickets provided to them).
3. Students will still need to arrive no later than 3 pm.
4. In case of this plan, students will report to the Shattuck Building, not to Bradlaw.
5. There will be no other viewing option on campus.
6. In either case, the ceremony will be broadcast live and available at youtube.com/norwichfreeacademy.
